Voces Back-to-School Workshop

Join us virtually from August 1-3 for the Voces Back-to-School Workshop, a free, interactive event designed for World Language teachers of all levels. Get ready for the upcoming school year with our team of Voces Digital experts who will lead sessions on everything from lesson planning to the best strategies for using the Voces curriculum. You'll learn how to effectively use features like the Assignment Wizard and Voces Editor, and have the chance to explore specific series and new titles.

Preparing for the school year can be daunting, but this workshop offers a supportive space for deep discussions on how to plan and pace the curriculum, no matter which title you're using. You'll also have the opportunity to connect with other teachers in the Voces community, share your own experiences, learn from others, and win some amazing prizes!

Tuesday, August 1
10 a.m. ET	Voces Team	Join Kris, Erin, and the Voces Team for an exciting Welcome Session! During this session, you will receive a comprehensive overview of everything Voces has to offer, including our user-friendly tools and resources. Our team of experts will also provide you with valuable advice and strategies for preparing your students to log in.
11 a.m. ET	Mike Jacobs Developer	Voces Web Developer Mike Jacobs will show you the ins and outs of using the Assignment Wizard to create and edit assignments. Mike will guide you through the process step-by-step, highlighting key features and best practices for designing effective assignments.
12 p.m. ET	Lorena Ojeda Customer Experience Expert	Enjoy lunchtime activities!
1 p.m. ET	David Wilson Customer Experience Expert	David Wilson will dive into the grading portal and share expert advice on how to effectively grade student work, provide feedback, and manage data. You'll learn essential tips for using the grading portal to streamline your grading process and enhance your students' learning experience.
2 p.m. ET	Neall Gleason Developer	Join Neall Gleason for an in-depth exploration of the Voces Editor! Neall will guide you through the process of editing pages, creating new materials, and sharing resources with other teachers. You’ll learn how to leverage the Editor to create custom materials that meet your unique teaching needs while enhancing your productivity and creativity.

Thursday, August 3
10 a.m. ET	Erin Almeranti Curriculum Director	We will look at various Voces titles and reflect on the recommendations in the pacing guides as well as best practices on how to plan and pace the material.
11 a.m. ET	There will be multiple half-hour sessions offering a deep dive into some of the Voces Digital titles! Our curriculum managers will highlight key features and share tips and tricks for effective implementation in your classroom.
	Erica Peplinski-Burge Curriculum Manager	Session 1 (11-11:30) - Erica Peplinski-Burge will take you on a journey through the new elementary Spanish curriculum, Primaria 1 and 2. You'll learn about the unique content and interactive activities that make this curriculum such an engaging resource for young learners, and how to leverage them to help your students build a solid foundation in the language.
	Hannah Meinecke Curriculum Manager	Session 2 (11-11:30) - Hannah Meinecke will dive into the AP levels of the Our Story titles for Spanish and French.
	Melisa Ferguson Curriculum Manager	Session 3 (11:30-12) - Discover the brand-new middle school Spanish curriculum, Puentes, with Melisa Ferguson.
	Heidi Edel and Alicia Hynes Teachers	Session 4 (11:30-12) - Join Heidi and Alicia—two teachers who use Voces in their own classrooms—as they host a Create & Collaborate Professional Learning Community (PLC), open to all World Language teachers and giving everyone a chance to share ideas and brainstorm!
12 p.m. ET	Heidi Edel and Alicia Hynes Teachers	Enjoy lunchtime discussions as a continuation of the PLC!
1 p.m. ET	Lorena Ojeda Customer Experience Expert	Discover fun ways to engage students using any title of Voces. Lorena will discuss games, in-class activities, and other interactive ideas to implement this school year!
2 p.m. ET	Voces Team	End the workshop with a collaborative session on how to effectively prepare for the first week of school. Additionally, we'll highlight other training and support options available to you, including how to access them so you’re prepared for going back to school!
